QA Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness (RQF)

The qualification and learning outcomes are based on:

• National Occupational Standards (NOS) related to fire safety awareness
• Recommendation of good practice outlined by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

Intended Audience

The QA Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness (RQF) is designed as an introductory qualification for people who want to increase their awareness of fire safety in the workplace.

Overview

Over a half day period, learners will cover basic fire safety principles, including: causes of fires in the workplace, basic fire safety duties and responsibilities, principles of fire risk control, safe use of portable fire-fighting equipment and more.

Assessment Methods

• 1 x Theory assessment (Multiple Choice Question Paper).

Certification

Successful learners will receive a personalised Qualsafe Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness (RQF) e-Certificate immediately after their results have been submitted, subject to a Centre’s Direct Claims Status and any required actions. Printed certificates are available at an additional cost.
